If you are looking to bring the robust flavors of cafe coffee into your home or office there is absolutely no better way to do it than with the KRUPS EA8298 Super Automatic Latte Espresso Machine. Whether you like a strong shot of espresso in the morning or the rich taste of a cappuccino or even a hot cup of cocoa on a snowy day you can get a the variety of options you crave with this versatile machine. Personally, I was looking to eliminate the need to stop in the morning for a good pick me up (as well as eliminate the everyday charge for my beverage from the coffee shop) and the old coffee maker in the office just wasn’t cutting it for me. I started to really appreciate going to the coffee shop next to my office before starting my day but after a while even that became a nuisance just waiting in lines. So, I decided to cut out the middleman and get my own espresso machine and get it delivered straight to the office. And this one can do it all, from espresso to latte even a beginner barista can start making delicious cups without the trouble of going to a coffee shop. Just turn a knob and press a button and you are getting some of the best caffeinated beverages available. I brought this one into the office for everyone to enjoy, though I may buy another one for my own personal use at home.

There is also an apparatus for pleasantly frothing milk and cream for your espresso or latte. Yet another machine with a great and compact design, the easy to use control panel and machine itself will have you bragging to friends for days.
My First Impression
My first impression after getting this machine was how quickly it brewed the espresso, followed quickly by my second impression of how great the product it created tasted. I’d heard a lot of people who had bought other espresso machines complain about the mess they could make if there are leaks, though I experienced none of that from when I bought this machine two years ago to now. Everything is automated so you need not worry about tamping or making sure the pod container is properly installed. The beans are freshly ground for every cup for a fresh, delicious taste and the easy to use LED display is intuitive and I needed no guidance to understand it. From box to counter it only took the removable parts a trip through the dishwasher before I was enjoying my own espresso shots.
The Advantages of the Product
The greatest advantage I think this machine has to offer is just how easy it is to use. Everything is automated from the amount of beans ground for each cup, to a wide variety of coffee types and water amounts are at your fingertips. The water pressure needed for each brew will automatically adjust to the setting.
Another big advantage to getting this machine opposed to some of its competition is the apparatus for frothing milk. Instead of having just the steaming nozzle (as I have seen many cappuccino machines feature) this comes with a container that you hook up to the nozzle in order to froth the milk mess free. The steam goes into the container and churns the contents until you get a perfectly foamy result. It then can automatically use the cream or milk to make any one of the six preprogrammed recipes, meaning you don’t even need to worry about pouring out the proper amount for a latte of a cappuccino. The KRUPS EA8298 Super Automatic Latte Espresso Machine will do it all for you automatically. The other aspect about this that really appealed to me apart from making not making a mess is that this method seems so much safer than the burn risk of running the nozzle directly.
Additionally, I have to mention the 15-bar pump. This indicated how much water pressure the machine is capable of using, which is vital for making a good cup of espresso. The primary difference between espresso and coffee is the way water is used to brew the beverage. With coffee hot water is simply dripped through the grounds. With espresso it is blasted through the grounds at high pressure causing the oils in the ground beans to heat up and mix with the water. That is what gives espresso the unique texture and flavor it has. Without water pressure you don’t get espresso.
Last, but not least is how easy everything is to clean. The frothing container, drip tray, and water tank are all removable and dishwasher safe to make cleaning and maintenance a breeze. The easier and more thoroughly things can be cleaned the less likely it is that your machine will collect residue of buildup on the inside which will affect the lifespan of your machine. Not to mention, simply making the whole thing more sanitary and safer to use.
The Disadvantages of the Product
The only downside to this machine is the price, plain and simple. And for everything you are getting (programmed recipes, dishwasher safe, built in bean grinder…) the price reflects the quality of the product and the range of features. There are certainly cheaper espresso machines if this one is out of your budget, though you shouldn’t expect them to be fully automated like this one is.
What’s in the Box?
It comes with 6 recipes installed for easy use at the push of a button. Additionally, it comes with the container needed for frothing milk and cream perfectly and can be attached to automatically make cappuccinos and lattes as well.
The Final Verdict
Overall, I don’t think it gets any easier than this to make your own coffee drinks from the comfort of your kitchen or office. I am very pleased with the way this machine has held up over the years and it would be hard to find another product that made better cappuccinos with the push of a button.
