If I’m being honest, I don’t remember the catalysts that lead me to buying an espresso machine for my home. Perhaps I had found a really good recipe for tiramisu or just figured it was the one thing my kitchen was missing.
Whatever led me down that path I am grateful for because now I can make great tasting lattes and cappuccinos from the comfort of my own home. Whether you just want to add a little luxury to your mornings or it’s really for the greater good that you don’t leave your house before ingesting a concentrated caffeine drink.
I think pretty much everyone could benefit from having one of these delightful machines in their home. Everyone else who remains alive in line anywhere you are going in the morning will thank you.

Breakdown of the Features
Unlike others we’ve mentioned, there’s a 2-in-1 filter within this machine and has a 15-bar pump system that ensures quality drinks every time. Along with this, you’re able to make multiple cups at once, and the machine is composed of stainless steel for durability. Having the aforementioned features will allow you to continuously make morning beverages for a long time to come.
My First Impression
The first thing I noticed about this machine was the frother. I know this is a very common amenity to be added to a cappuccino machine, though I was not expecting it to work as well as it did. I figured it would be able to froth cream just fine, since shaking a jug of cream long enough will get it to froth.
However, I was very surprised that it was able to froth coconut and almond milk too. This was a real treat for me as it was completely unexpected. I had just been using it as an espresso machine since I have the sensitivity to dairy products.
My friend came over and I offered her some espresso, which she was delighted to try. As it happened she had come from the gym and usually drank skim milk as a post-workout protein boost. She asked if she could try using it with the machine and I said that she could try, though I didn’t think that it would work.
To her credit and my amazement, the skim milk was frothing quickly. It was then that I got the idea to clean off the nozzle and try some coconut milk, which also started frothing. Not only could I enjoy an espresso in my own home but I could also use non-dairy products to make lattes and cappuccinos. I couldn’t be happier.
The Advantages of the Product
The primary advantage this machine has to offer is the 15-bar pump needed in order to make espresso. Without this you are up the creep and wildly under caffeinated. Espresso is mainly just a high concentration of caffeine in a little cup, but you can only get that level of concentration with a powerful water pump. A 15-bar pump is definitely what you need, anything less than that and you are basically brewing very small portions of coffee.
The other feature this machine boasts is the two at a time cup making capabilities. This is great for if you are entertaining or making tiramisu, as it turns out (the desert requires a lot more espresso than I would have originally thought). I will admit in order to use this option properly I did have to learn how to correctly tamp and bought a tamping device to do so.
Tamping is making sure the grounds are pressed into the filter tightly, but evenly which takes some time to learn how to do and I’m not embarrassed to say the first several times made a bit of a mess. Now that I know how to do it I do it every time, but in order to get the two espressos properly brewed at the same time I had to initially learn. My espresso making skills are better for it.
The Disadvantages of the Product
The only disadvantage to this espresso machine is that the tamping process. It is a little tricky to figure out how to do it to begin with but once you get the hang of it it’s worth it to do every time. Though, if you don’t choose to use the double shot filter then you likely don’t need to learn how to do it at all, though personally, I think it is still worth it because it can really change the way you make your espresso.
If you don’t want to bother learning how to tamp properly then there are always fully automated machines you can buy, though you will be adding several hundred dollars to the price tag. So the real question you have to ask yourself is it really worth it?
Also, I should add that I frequently clean my filters to make sure there is no build up which will affect the quality of the brew.
What’s in the Box?
Just the instruction manual and the promise of tasty lattes in your very near future. While it’s not a lot, it’s everything you need to get started on making your very own breakfast beverages to wake yourself up in the morning.
The Final Verdict
Overall, I love this machine. I save money every week by going to the cafe less (hey, I’m no hermit, I still like a good excuse to get out of the house) and I can enjoy a nice latte of espresso any time I want, with non-dairy foam.
If you are looking for something that is completely automated and produces espresso at the touch of a single button then this machine is not for you as you are clearly looking to spend a lot more money.
But, if you are looking for a basic espresso maker that you don’t mind learning how to use properly then this one will give you countless cups of creamy cappuccino.
